Normally, this would just be another sunset at the lake. However, this one is a result of fire and smoke from the Gustafson forest fire just outside 100 Mile House. It shows fire as an element currently out of control in the interior of British Columbia.
While repurposing fallen trees for fencing makes practical sense, it takes a comical person to leave the root system intact.
Guess it’s apt in Cariboo cowboy country to have a mural of a horse and rider decorating an art gallery, but setting them into an impressionistic background of fields, forest and sky has to be a novel approach. All it needs is a hitching rail and café table to complete the scene.
